Antonio Masecchia - Marble Maestro founder and owner
Antonio Masecchia made his debut into the world of marble and stone at the tender age of 16 working at Ciot, a small but well respected and established store on Port Royal.
This was the time when Ciot, under the management of Mr. Panzera, began its fantastic expansion into their beautiful store on the St Laurent.
Antonio worked in all facets of the business for the Ciot "empire," as the warehouse stock boy, the driver, in sales, marble cutting and as a purchaser.
While in sales, he befriended a client, a Mr HodHod, who was in the clothing industry. In the early 1990’s, Mr HodHod purchased a large amount of a then new style of granite, which was very porous, and needed protection sealing after installation.
No one was available for this kind of work, and rising to the occasion, Antonio took it upon himself to personally serve this important client.
Starting on a Friday evening, Antonio worked straight through the weekend till the Sunday. With no polisher, and no vacuum, he washed and sealed the thousands of square feet on his hands and knees, using only a large bag of rags.
And so a legend was born, and a new business started, dedicated to personally ensuring each and every client is taken care of to the best of his ability.
Today we have Marble Maestro, the stone protection and restoration experts of Montréal, a successful operation started with no formal training, but with a deep passion and love of all things stone,
focussing on a hands-on approach, ensuring unrivaled personal care and attention.
For 20 years now Marble Maestro has restored, protected, maintained and consulted on all facets of stone and marble love and care.
